Another Church?

We Believe
We live in a day when the mention of a new church might raise two common questions. Someone might ask, "There are so many churches, do we really need another one?" and someone else might ask, "I'm a spiritual person, do I really need to be involved in a church?"

The answer to both questions: absolutely.

We live in a day when the problems of the culture have infiltrated into the walls of the church. It is not uncommon to hear of churches ravaged by scandal or split by internal power struggles among the leaders. We live among people who have lost faith in God and the church. These people will not remain faithless. They will simply place their faith in someone or something else other than God. Therefore, they desperately need to hear the life-encompassing, life-transforming gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, otherwise they are dying. We live in a city where New Yorkers are not easily fooled and often instinctively know if a person or a church is being genuine or not. If the church is living according to the truth it proclaims, the city will know of it because the divine adage that says, "they will know you by your love for one another" is still true today. Therefore, the great need of our day is for faithful churches that are relentlessly committed to the advance of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the proclamation of the whole counsel of God, and worship that is God-centered, Christ-exalting, and according to the directions God has given us in the Bible.

The Lord Jesus Christ is advancing His kingdom, and the instrument of that advance is His Church.

It is the desire of those involved with this church plant to see the Lord Jesus Christ bring real gospel transformation to individuals and families, and through them to New York City.
